Congratulations!!! Team Scarito

Listen,

We had another week of weight loss, that is something to be proud of. Each of you lost weight every week we have weighed in. Each of you worked your ASS off for those pounds too.

I just want to say that I have never trained a group of individuals that worked so hard. I feel like we have developed a great relationship and are all working together as a team should. How many workouts do we have left?? Bells will be included in our next workout for sure. So everyone should get a stick and workout those tight muscles in the hams and quads. Please stretch, Please stretch before you go to bed and when you get up.

Going forward here is what NOT to do:

Never do a bicep curl!! It's useless. Lift you kids up and down 10x's instead.

Don't do the Treadmill workout more than 1x a day.

Ashley, every time you get on your scale, do 15 squat thrusts.

Doug, get to know your walls. Squat in front of every wall in your house

Enjoy!!

  3. Bryan worked on my legs for nearly a half an hour last night... used a rolling pin and I was in agony but feels a little better today!
    I think we have an amazing team, we all work so hard and it helps that we have an awesome leader. Phil, your workouts are killer. Being outside and inside and always giving us new things to do, keeps us from getting bored and makes the time pass by a litter quicker. We couldn't ask for a better trainer!
    Thanks again Doug for yesterday. The pool workout was fun (most of the time) and your house is beautiful and your wife is wonderful. Thank her again for her generous hospitality from us.
    See you guys tomorrow (or at the gym today)!

  4. I agree with everyone's comments!! I think we have a great team, a great leader and even if we don't win this competition, I have made new friends and had a great time doing it!! At the risk of sounding like a broken record, Doug, thank you so much for your (and Mary Ellen's) hospitality yesterday. It was a nice change of pace having a pool workout and in such a serene setting. I told Dina that I felt like I needed to go to the gym after because I felt like I was just hanging around having fun, not working out. (This doesn't mean that the workout wasn't hard Phil!!!)
    Now, about the scale and the squat thrusts, I will do as instructed, but do I have to retroactively do the thrusts for the scale trip I made this morning before reading the new rules?

  5. OK...a new Grilled Veggie!! Any Italians out there?? Fennel is an item that is ALWAYS on our table at the Holidays!! But never like this! Had it last night...sooooo yummy!!

    Grilled Fennel Salad:

    * 4 small fennel bulbs, tops removed, sliced into 1-inch rings
    * Extra-virgin olive oil
    * Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
    * Juice from 1/2 a lemon
    * 1/2 cup pitted green Spanish olives
    * 1/4 bunch fresh basil
    * Pinch red pepper flakes
    * 1 teaspoon ground coriander

    Put the fennel rings in a bowl and drizzle with a healthy dose of olive oil; add the juice of 1/2 of a lemon. Put the fennel on the free side of the grill and grill for 5 minutes per side. Put the grilled fennel in a bowl and add the remaining salad ingredients: the olives, basil, red pepper flakes, coriander, and remaining lemon juice. Drizzle with another dose of olive oil, season with salt and pepper and give the salad a good toss. This salad is best when the fennel is still warm. YUMMO!

  6. I just want everyone to know that i am only weighing myself ONCE a day. You have no idea how hard it is for me to do this. I am also eating breakfast every morning until this contest is over, something I have not done since middle school. Twenty years I have gone without breakfast, and I am adding it in for you four. I am THAT dedicated to each of you and this contest!!!

  7. Steak and egg whites were yummy. It's 8:10 pm and I am hungry though. Going to sleep soon so I don't eat anything else. My husband thinks I'm looney for how early I've been going to sleep but I am beat up. That was a great workout today... I'm already feeling it!
